SINE LAW - is used when you are solving a non-right triangle.

How would you know when to use Sine law?

You can use Sine Law if:

  • You are given Side Angle Side (SAS)

  • You are given Side Angle Angle (SAA)

here is the formula:

Example:

Solve for x.

Step 1: Write the informations given. Set the Ratio.

Step 2: Solve by using "cross multiply".

48 ( sin 38 ) = x( sin 101 )
----------- ------------
sin 101 sin 101

30.10 = x
